I am using SCCM 2007 to push a program. In the advertisement status I can find the number of machines that received the advertisement and ran the program successfully.

I need to know the names of these machines if possible

I've enabled Inventory Collection to collect details of a particular .exe, it seems to run fine but if I enable only "file details" in the inventory collection it doesn't collect "File Description" and "File Version" informations, which is the only information I really need.

If I enable "Product details" in the inventory collection it collects all the informations correctly, and that's good, but there is a little catch that I don't understand: with "product details" enabled it creates an entry in the report for each file version, so if the files gets updated it creates another entry in the report instead of replacining it (like an history of all the file versions the client has seen), so when I create a collection to see which client has the file and which version, it reports that the client has 2 files with 2 different version, but in reality it only has one file with the latest version of it.

Any idea on how to configure this properly to collect only the lastest file information and version?

I tried to update windows (36 updates are available for windows 8.1) but showing an error code 2147024894 . When I clicked Administrative tools - services = Background Intelligent Transfer Service-  Service status is showing stopped. Description shows --- Transfers files in the background using idle network bandwidth. If the service is disabled, then any applications that depend on BITS, such as Windows Update or MSN Explorer, will be unable to automatically download programs and other information.

When I clicked on the start button its shows the error code 2147024894

Please help me to solve the problem

My main PC has started a 3 of 3 configuration utility. 0%

screen changes to dos asking  F1 contine or F2 to enter setup

F1 tries to reboot starting the process again.

F2 have tried factory settings and the  reboot then goes to F1 and reboot cycle starts again.....

If a client starts downloading a package from non protected BITS enabled DP (ie in the data centre) and moves to an office with a Branch DP (different subnet and protected)  before the download completes, will the client continue to download from the BITS DP or change to BDP ?

I think it will continue the BITS download as that information is already at the client, and that DP is still available even tho there is a "better fit" BDP -  can anyone confirm(or not) this please

Im guessing for the reverse, it will fail and try to download from the data centre as the protected DP will obviously now not be available ?

I have been trying to deploy this dneupdate.msi driver update using SCCM 2007 and I have been successful apart from alerting users that it is going to restart. On a test virtual machine I have ran this numerous times with numerous switches and still it either will restart without any warning or just sit there and do nothing?

• This advertised program restarts itself using "Per-system unattended" -msiexec.exe /q ALLUSERS=2 /m MSIKIQEC /i "dneupdate64.msi" (with the advertisement stating 'No action Required' after running)
• This advertised program (I created) stays at 'Program Started' and doesn't move on -msiexec.exe" /q /restart /i "dneupdate64.msi"  (with the advertisement stating 'ConfigMgr restarts computer'

I am obviously doing something wrong as I am finding it difficult to alert users after ANY software deployment of a restart and countdown to it but this one is an emergency one as the previous DNE drivers is bluescreening our whole fleet and I need to push this update out as soon as I can.

I have been given a task of deploying a piece of software against a few collections however a colleague has setup a security group with computer objects listed.  

Basically what they want is for the advertisment to run against these collections but not to run if the PC is listed within this group.  Is this possible to do?

I can not download Acrobat, it states missing Acroread.msi. How do I fix this.  I can not open any PDF files.

I am using AppsDeployToolkit but I would like to know where I could find the exact value to be input in the Deploy-Application.ps1 parameters.

I have run this apps but apparently nothing is uninstalled I suspect the ps1 parameters to be wrong... I saw application(s) are not running am I correct?

Where could I check the AppName the ps1 script is looking for... it could a misspelling or an incomplete AppName?

I did a manul uninstallation and it shows Product Name: NetWorker" which is the name I place in the ps1 file

Hi Friends!!

Am completely new to SCCM environment, learning the surfing google and with few collections of video and pdf files.

I managed to install SCCM 2007 application successfully.Am trying to deploy a software silently(safari browser) to be get installed in my client pc without user's interaction, i input the following cmd under cmd line.

"g:\browser\SafariSetup.exe" /q /norestart /G:"msiexec /i safarisetup.exe /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress" /msioptions "REBOOT=ReallySuppress"

G:\ is the drive where my software is locating, i want to install the software silently without user's interaction.

But unluckily the software not found installed in user's PC, when i check user's control panel--> Run advertise program--> the software which am trying to deploy is showing with "FAILED" status, am for sure am doing some mistake here.

can anyone help me in resolving this issue and persist further the deployment..

I am having issues getting windows 10 to run updates.  According to the help documents I need to start BITS; however, when I go to do that I get an error code 2147024894.  Do you know what this is and how to resolve it.  I will like to get all my updates loaded so that I can move on and update Office.  Thanks!

Hello 

I have an issue were i distributed a application were there is only 1 DP pushing to 3 buildings and it has maxed out the bandwidth of the wan link. I had network kill the nic to quickly fix the issue but now if i start the DP up again it pegs the bandwidth... If i ILO into the server how can i stop the deployment so when they turn the NIC back on it doesnt kill the bandwidth? 

I have already removed the collection associated with this site from the deployment but since it was killed at the nic it doesnt see anything im doing.... BITS was also already active but 2mgb was to much i since lowered to 500kbs but again since it was killed at the nic there is no way for the clients to know.... 

If i pull the boundaries for the DP will that work or if i kill the deployment all together or is there a service i can stop on the server that will make the DP stop deploying to clients?

As i mentioned during software distribution query, am new to SCCM environment!

Referring google i understand the procedure of software silent distribution technique.

Now i want to uninstall the deployed package silently without user interaction through SCCM 2007.

For this the below batch file is created, which i tested before trying through SCCM..when i execute the same

batch file,it works flawlessly. But the same i want tried through SCCM Software distribution and New package via too, but was unsuccessful.

It would be helpful if someone describe the software uninstall method.I tried the following procedure which was abortive is.

But when i check the advertisement status, it shows 0 received.

I even tried uninstall method as installation process, that too was didn't done the work.

So could you pls advise the right method for software silent uninstall through sccm 2007???
